Current Information:Age-20 1, North Street, Isleworth Between 18th and 30th November, 1915, 9th King’s Royal Rifle Corps of 42 Brigade, 14th Division were alternating every 48 hours with 9th Rifle Brigade in the front line in the Kaaie salient at Ypres. The battalion diary records that this was a period “marked by no unusual incident” but that “normal artillery activity took place”. 9th King’s Royal Rifle Corps suffered 20 casualties over the 12 days, including Rifleman Wells who was killed in action on 27th November. |
